Ju Ju Space Jazz have entered the singularity.

They are not expected to return in this dimension. Last transmission follows:

Well, firstly – what a ride.

From the warehouses parties ‘back in the day’ - the sensuous, aromatic, entrancing, enticing, all encompassing chill. The dissolve into exotic indolerient states of being, blissed out on bass, pine-apple juice dripping down our faces. To the festival circuit in Europe, huge production, being met at the airport and whisked backstage, flight-cased backline gear neatly stacked up waiting for us to go on. Massive dancefloors and cafe’s in foreign cities. Private parties in Oxford Street lofts, fashion launches and Ferries on Hong Kong Harbour.

And always, for us, a pride in where we come from, and what we bring with us. A spirit of joy, spontaneity in the face of increasing commodity, a sense of humour in an all too serious world. An appreciation of beauty, exotica, the otherness, and of course, the inevitable fat bass.

To the people we have met and learnt from on the way, from Adeesh our driver in Germany, to Mr Thankyou Very Much in downtown Surry Hills. From Killer Joe to Buffy’s Cut and Polish. Thank you so much, for giving, for looking above and beyond - and participating. For becoming space cadets for a day, for recognising kindred deep space explorers.

To the wonderful crowds, the dance floors feeding us the energy to dare to go that extra distance, to try that new pattern, to dare to hold the beats off for another four bars – so that Alex can go deeper, higher, wider, more twisted.... to all of you for inspiration.

All the crews nurturing their own little scenes, often un-thanked and unacknowledged, quietly working away providing platforms for people to explore, experience, grow and love. To those who lent gear, those who helped out at the last minute, those who played taxi, to those who lent 50 bucks.

We hope in some small way we have given something in return.

Thankyou.

Alex and Dan and the Ju Ju Space Jazz family.

You know who you aren’t.
