So yeah, back in about 1994 or so i met Alexander Nettelbeck within a year or so Ju Ju Space Jazz was in full swing. It was a good ride while it lasted, the reasons for it finishing are too complex to go into here. Maybe I'll try pouring out all my mixed feelings about the end of the band some time, but not yet. There's the official Ju Ju Web site of course, with all the funky design and flash work by Angus Chad, (you legend) but here are a couple of pics and bits and pieces from my personal archives, and as elsewhere on these pages, yes, there's more to come...

In Auckland, New Zealand, as well as a most amazing Outdoor Party called Splore, Ju Ju also played an Auckland City Council event called 'Dancing in the Streets'. Taking a leaf out of R.T.S Parties, they shut off a big street near the center of town, truck in a huge sounds system and as night falls, thousands of kids turn up for a banging Aotearoan style street party. Amazing gig and one which my Mum was finally able to come and see...










When Ju Ju Finished up, I wrote a page designed both as press release and as a thankyou and dedication to all those who became part of the journey. For complicated reasons it was never published, as was news of the end of Ju Ju, but for those interested, here it is in full....
