NOTES

FOOD

There are scheduled breaks for meals and we are approximately 100 meters from the very top of King St. Thus it should not be a problem to either duck out for a quick meal, or miss out on a movie by going and killing some time at a restaurant or bar in Newtown. We will have a bunch of home delivery flyers available so you can get something delivered, and Dan will be making MOUNTAINS of popcorn (organic of course).

PARKING

We are actually lucky enough to have off street parking for at least 6 cars or so, although the Car Park will have to be clear for Sunday Morning (yes it’s a real presbytery attached to a church). Please consider this when entering and exiting the carpark. Call us for directions on how to find/get into the carpark.

SEATING

We encourage people to bring something of their own comfy to sit on like a beanbag, some cushions, a futon for the enthusiastic – whatever. The room will probably fit about 20 people if sprawling and cozy, or about 40 if we get fuller and have to resort to the plastic chairs which we have lots of. Good spots on couches etc can be fought over at will although bribes for the Presbytery residents are encouraged.

DONATIONS

Donations – there will be a donations box somewhere around and while this is really a completely ‘friends and family’ non-money making venture there are a few minor costs associated with this and it’d be nice to sling the musos and people who are lending gear (like projectors etc...) a few dollars. Of course if we make some money – we’re more likely to be really excited about doing it again. Hint, hint...

NOTE FOR AUDIOFILES

It was initially intended to set up a full 5.1 rig and calibrate it to Dolby DTS standard (83 dB SPL at nominal listening position from all speakers at unity gain etc...), but since nearly all of these movies were mixed to stereo and as such have no surround information, this was deemed a little over-enthusiastic. We will be playing as many of these movies as we can off DVD for picture quality, but audio, while nice, will not be 5.1. Next time.

ALSO...

We may, if we have the time and are so inclined, show additional bits and pieces such as Vintage Spanish Erotica, Nasa and Space Shuttle Footage, Chinese Fetish Porn and whatever other whakky shit we can dig up.

Does any-one have a copy of the remastered version of Dark Side of the Moon on CD? Please get in touch if ya do.

Also, we have a lovely big balcony with some seats so people can sit outside and have a ciggie or whatever. If you arrive during a movie please feel free to hang out on the balcony but try to keep conversation a little subdued in consideration of the people inside.
