RANT ON THE U.S.

So it’s interesting to watch, as my last traces of fondness and positivity for the U.S are stripped away. I mean, I have quietly nurtured my dislike of this arrogant, overweening, swinish playground bully of a nation for a long time, but always to myself, or my closest confidants. I have never sought to make the grand statement, being leery of getting caught up in a debate where I am forced to admit some degree of respect for the ideals on which the U.S was founded and fondness for a nation that gave us oreo cookies and the internet.

But this is changing fast now.

And what a credit to democracy in australia and the modern, western democratic system in general that I feel completely powerless to do anything about this great evil that is unfolding on the desert sands of this far country.

There is nothing I can do, it feels like, to prevent these terrible deaths, the pain, the rage, the desolation felt by so many, at the hands of these terribly efficient, nintendo playing, porn surfing youths in their neat uniforms as they swoop from the sky to render to dust and blood the lives and culture that have dwelt here since before time.

Deaths bought about by children with an inability to play nicely. Children with the lives of so many in their hands. The world careens towards an enduring schism because these idiot men were not taught effective conflict resolution? To allow others to be? To understand the workings of ego? Did they not spend time in the playground? Did they never listen to their mothers?

This really is nuts.

And it is not the end of the world or the kinds of disasters that usually polarises our staid outlook to action, but small deaths, 4 here, a dozen there. 40, but oops that’s an accident. And from here these are meant to look regretable, but a necessary part of ‘getting the job done’. The job is to kill others. Are the lives of soldiers such that they are not to be mourned at all. A world of experience, feelings, thought, expression – a life with all it’s potential, to be lost, owing to any kind of misguided action is a horror to make the world stop for a moment. And yet the numbers mount, simply tallies in helvetica 10 point on some page four analysis.

And the desert sands blow on, and the invaders grow weary.

To hell with the great babylon, the United States of Amerika.

Allah Akhbar.
