PARTY CULTURE

After Party delerium, My man AB making the Blody Mary's under the watchful gaze of Urz. Byron kids in high style - Tenterfield.

A beautiful memory of a great time. Holidays on the North Coast - this was taken on the Pauline and Steve's property up around Bellingen just after their big Bello party - which was also one of my all time favourite DJ gigs. I'm on the left (Nice shirt huh?) with Suze, as well as Nigel and Chantal, Alex Davies is in the mix and the other bloke in the red shirt up the back is Steve. Forgotten the names of the rest of the gang.

The wonderful Pru. Taken at Summer Dreaming, a lovely party despite Mike J. Ju Ju Played at and where we met Antaro, who was later to release the third album on his Spiritzone label in Germany- on a lake, nice place. Good times.

Alex and Pru in the nice hire car, just arrived on site - same party as above.

Back in the early-mid 90's, Vibe tribe days, I used to spend time bumming around the god-kissed paradise of the North coast - with roadcases full of gear, and set up and play bush parties and write music in the environment for which it was evenutally intended. Good vibe - but ridiculous logisitically - can't imagine doing it now. So hear's me in full bush boffin mode - Atari and JD out in the bush - writing tunes for the dancefloor that night. Note the Winnie Blues - yuch!

The delerious afterparty vibe - this time at the legendary Graffiti Hall of Fame venue prob after a Vibe Tribe party, roadcases packed up and ready to load out, Pete passed out in the hot sun, and can you spot Greta? (back in her colourful hair days...)

This was taken at the 1999 Solar Eclipse Party in Ozara, in the mountains of Hungary. Sollipse. Amazing party. Beautiful spot - natural Marijuana grove at the end of the valley, girls walking around with ganja wreaths in their hair, 7 days of the most amazing music from aroud the world, locals giving horse and cart rides from one end of the site to the other for 1 dollar and... Check out that sound system - two semi trailers loaded floor to ceiling with boxes - 300 meters away the sound was crystal clear.

Probably one of my fave photos - from one of my fac dancefloors. Djing at Splore in N.Z in 2001. Last set of the festival, they turned off all the other sound systems for my set - so total unity of sound and vibe and the chance to finish off and lay a beautiful thing to rest.

Taken at the same Splore party - here you can see the amazingly rugged and striking cliffs and coastline in the background. This party was also cool coz I got mum to drive me out in the morning (about an hour out of Auckland) which means she actually got to see a party and experience a little bit about what it was all about. And she loved it.
