5-Way Birthday Bash. Jan 2003


So, five old friends; Luke Dearnley, Greta Werner, Paul Rodwell, Pete Kelly and I all have birthdays within about two weeks of each other in January. About 7 years ago we all had a big joint Birthday Bash that went down as legendary (had it at the 'Golden Ox' squat/party space before it was demolished). Anyway - so this year we decided to do it together again. Invaded the top floor of the Landsdowne Hotel, lugged in a sound system, set up some lights, and waited for the mayhem to begin. And begin it did. Pete made all five of us T-shirts with 'Petting Zoo' on them. Cute. About 150-200 people I reckon - the bar made good money, nice little dance floor and lots of great people, from quite different circles all coming together for a fat night out. Great vibe.

Paul died last weekend.
